Dr. Kuang He is an associate professor at the Ocean University of China, Qingdao, since 2021 and now a CSC-supported visiting scientist at our faculty and its magnetics labs until late 2025. His main field of research is marine geology with a focus on paleo- and environmental magnetism. In Bremen, he plans to use IODP and GeoB core samples to investigate how magnetofossils synthesized by magnetotactic bacteria vary in dependency of paleoceanographic and paleomagnetic conditions.more »
