Physics for Natural Science II

Lecturers: Kathrin Sebald, Thorsten Warneke

Content:

As part of this course in physics, the lecture "Physics for Natural Scientists II" teaches the physical basics of thermodynamics, including Equations of state, pressure and energy, main clauses of thermodynamics) and electrodynamics (electrical charge and field, electrical currents and magnetic field, field strength, potential, voltage, resistance).

These teaching contents are deepened in tutorials during the semester in individual exercises.

In addition, the knowledge imparted is applied in a total of 3 experiments from the subject areas in "Physikpraktikum-II". Potential topics in the summer semester include: thermoelement, Newton cooling; Tau point; Electrical metrology; Voltage source / divider, Fraunhofer diffraction. The internship is headed by PD Dr. K. Sebald.
