a) Introduction to advanced Fundamentals of civil engineering problems:

- Slopes and embankments
- Liquefaction
- Cyclic Loading
- Creep
- Settlement
- special soils


Learning Outcomes, Targeted Competencies:

LV1):
Insights into the engineering practice using selected foundation etypes. Application of soil mechanics basics and parameters in design practice. Own application of the presented techniques on exercise examples. Independent mastery and transfer to new questions from the context of the lecture.

LV2):
Reading, understanding and evaluation of fundamental geotechnical problems from articles and published case studies
Development of quality criteria for applied research publications.
