Enrolment

Enrollment at the University of Bremen is possible until 2 weeks after the beginning of the lecture period of your start semester. You can submit your documents directly at the SfS (administration building, address s. right frame) or by mail. In addition to the documents or simple copies of the documents (only study documents, language certificates, copies in English or German) that had to be uploaded in the application portal, the payment receipt of the semester fees as well as a proof of health insurance in a German or European health insurance agency must be submitted. Furthermore, you must submit the original signed certificate of acceptance.

If you have not yet completed your Bachelor's degree at the time of application and/or have not yet uploaded a language certificate, you must submit the required documents by the end of the enrolment period. The SfS requires a copy of your Bachelor's degree certificate by the end of the year.

Advanced applicants must also submit a transcript of records showing at least 10 CP from a Master's course that can be recognized for the degree.

Application for Advanced Students

If you have already completed Master`s level studies (at least 10 ECTS CP) and these are creditable in our Master`s program, then you can apply as an advanced student. You will have to follow the same application procedure, observe the same deadlines and fulfill all requirements as first-year students. Only the proof of creditable studies at Master`s level must still be added to the application.
Advanced students will also be admitted for the summer semester. The application deadline is January 15 of each calendar year. If the Master`s program to which you are applying is admission restricted, the proof of creditable studies must be received by the application deadline. If the Master`s program for which you are applying is admission-free, then it is sufficient to provide the proof of creditable achievements until the end of the first 2 weeks in the lecture period of the summer semester.
In any case, you should seek advice before applying.
