Preparatory Course in Maths: OMB+
With the online-course OMB+, you can optimally prepare for study programs with integrated compulsory mathematic modules. Twelve German universities have worked together to create the concept and content. From more than 20 universities - among others the University of Bremen - is
OMB+recommended as preparation for university studies.
Preparatory Course Physics
The online course in physics is recommended as a preparatory tool before the studies as well as a supporting offer during the first semesters. The offer is free of charge and accessible without registration on the internet at
www.brückenkurs-physik.de.The selection of topics in this course is oriented toward an engineering study program and is thus more comprehensive and profound than for a geosciences course. Four chapters introduce basic topics in physics that are important for the first semesters of a science or engineering major: Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Optics, and Thermodynamics. The lesson texts are supplemented by illustrative examples, instructional videos, illustrations of experiments, and interactive applets. Exercises allow students to review and reinforce what they have learned. In addition, course participants can take initial and final tests in the respective modules - so they can track their learning progress and work on gaps in their knowledge independently. The course is only offered in German.
