In addition to a mapping course, optional block courses teach field and laboratory practice, digital competences and complementary skills such as languages, economics or law. In the second year, the focus is on self-managed planning and acting: The "Geoscience Project" offers great freedom to pursue personal geoscientific ideas and qualification goals. In the "Research Seminar", the concepts for the own final Master project are developed, which is implemented, written up and presented during the fourth and last semester.
Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, Applied Sedimentology, Applied Petrology, Applied Geophysics, Renewable Energy Resources, Geohazards, Glaciology
The study course is a good preparation for applied fields like renewable energies (geothermal energy, foundation), water management, remediation of contaminated sites, coastal, flood and environmental protection, waste management and recycling, deposits, building materials, mineral-technical products, research, public relations, media and administration.
