05-MAG-PG2 Field and Lab Practice

Learning Contents:

A broad spectrum of field and lab courses is offered. Integrated analysis includes sedimentology , geochemistry, oceanography, ecology, climatology and geophysics of the study areas including applied and exploration aspects.

Learning Outcomes, Targeted Competencies:

- Expansion and deepening of skills in the field and lab
- Linking own field observations or lab measurements with the theoretical background knowledge for the development and understanding of (up-to-date) models in the geoscientific context
- Creation of reports in relevant literature context
- Application of advanced lab methods to gain and practise an integrated understanding of processes in the Earth system


Prior Knowledge:

Depending on the chosen courses specific pre-knowledge might be necessary
