Physical Coastal Hazards

In this lecture series, we will explore a vast range of coastal hazards, from quick-paced ones such as tsunamis or tropical storms to more long-term ones such as sea level changes. Hands-on exercises will be proposed to the classroom to explore available datasets related to coastal hazards.

Required basic experience with Geographic Information Systems.

The students will learn the basics of coastal hazards, and will learn to use simple online tools to quickly extract hazard-related data from publicly available datasets.
