In the second year, the focus is on self-managed planning and acting: The "Geoscience Project" offers great freedom to pursue personal geoscientific ideas and qualification goals. In the "Research Seminar", the concepts for the own final Master project are developed, which is implemented, written up and presented during the fourth and last semester.
Applied Geophysics, Applied Petrology, Applied Sedimentology, Engineering Geology, Geohazards, Glaciology, Hydrogeology, Renewable Energy Resources. It is possible to choose courses or modules from the Master`s programs in Marine Geosciences, Physical Geography - Environmental History, and Environmental Physics in exchange for a core subject worth 12 CP.
The study course is a good preparation for applied fields like renewable energies (geothermal energy, foundation), water management, remediation of contaminated sites, coastal, flood and environmental protection, waste management and recycling, deposits, building materials, mineral-technical products, research, public relations, media and administration.
