Sedimentological Field Exercise Helgoland (08-12.09.2025)

Heligoland (Miramontes García, NN)

Content of the field practical course:
Sedimentological field survey, 3D outcrop models, coastal geomorphology (GPS survey), grain size analysis.

Competences:

Objectives:
This course teaches sedimentological recording techniques in the field (in the range of several hundred meters to the centimeter range).

Skills
- Participants will be trained in various sedimentological field survey techniques.
- Participants will be able to interpret the field findings recorded at different scales in relation to temporal and spatial processes of sediment dynamics and the development of depositional environments.
