Introduction to Finite Element Modeling Techniques - Deformation of the Lithosphere under Extension with Examples from Rifts and Ridges

Inhalt:

This course is oriented to introduce the students in numerical modelling in Geosciences using finite element techniques. Modelling problems range from simple diffusion equations to more sophisticated modelling of deformation of Earth`s materials.
