Engineering Geology

Lecturers: Matt Ikari, Stefan Kreiter

Content:

This course provides advanced knowledge of engineering geology. It deals with the understanding of stress, deformation and pore water pressure in the three-phase system soil with the elasticity theory, plasticity theory and more advanced material laws. Settlements, base failures, and slope stabilities are calculated as parctical effects of stress, deformation, and pore water pressure in soil.

Competences:

1) Comprehend advanced engineering geological parameters.
2) Solve engineering geology problems.
