Coastal Erosion
Lecturers: Patrick Boyden
What is coastal erosion? How is it triggered? What does it entail? Introductory lectures will give an initial overview on this topic, that will be then faced on a real-world example with an open source hydrodynamic model.
The students will learn the basics principles of coastal erosion and apply their knowledge to build a simple hydrodynamic model with sediment transport.
Required basic experience with Geographic Information Systems.
