Inhalt:

Seismic data acquisition and processing provides the most impartant structural imaging approach using seismic and acoustic wave propagation. A complex sequence of processing steps are required to convert raw data into a vertical cross section of the subsurface.

Kompetenzen:

Follow the full track from raw data, through geometry determination, noise suppressioin, stacking towards migration algorithms. All steps will be applied to a data set acquired during the geophysical student course on a research vessel to the Baltic Sea.
A report is to be produced as a model for commercial documentation of seismic work and deliverables.
