Geophysics of Mid-Ocean Ridges and Abyssal Plains

Content:

- cooling and subsidence of oceanic lthosphere
- comparison of predicted oceanic heat flow and seafloor subsidence with available bathymetric data



Skills:

Students should develop an understanding of
- simple geodynamic models
- processing and interpreting bathymetric data
