„World of rocks“ - full success of the event in Bremen-Walle
What was going on? There were rocks, minerals and fossils on display, many of them were for sale. Among them actual geoscientific "highlights" - like a fossil bird from the Messel pit. The Geosciences Collection exhibited large mammals of the ice ages, including the now famous mammoth jaw "Stinti" from the River Weser. People who brought specimens to the exhibition got information about the find was about. Many visitors came with flintstone finds, strangely coloured or shaped like bones or eggs - rocks that stimulated the imagination of the visitors. For archaeological finds there was an expert in the house of the company "Knochenarbeit". For children, the popular digging for fossils in the sand was offered and the geo-cubes scenes of fossil life could be put together. On Saturday afternoon the lecture "How are fossils made?" was offered in the art studio of the Brodelpott - the room was filled to the last seat.
