Discover MARUM
Since 1958, the Geoscience Working Group in Bremen has offered insights into fossils, rocks, and minerals. Meetings at MARUM every second Thursday feature find identification, expert talks, discussions, and excursions.

Working Group
The Geoscience Collection includes fossils, rocks, minerals, and mollusk shells. Originating from the former Übersee Museum collection, it has been curated and continuously expanded at the Department of Geosciences since 1994.

The 2016/17 Science Year `Oceans and Seas` promoted marine research dialogue and showcased Germany’s research fleet.
Since 1994, the University of Bremen’s Geoscience Collection unites historic and modern specimens, including North German fossils and large pieces like a giant armadillo, supporting research, teaching, and exhibitions.
The House of Science in Bremen offers exhibitions, lectures, discussions, and information on science and studies – a hub for the public.
