Research Training
Research Training
Conducting a doctoral research project requires a wide range of skills. Here, doctoral candidates have the opportunity to obtain these skills through a wide range of research training offers. Basic and specific knowledge courses aim to fill potential gaps, provide deeper insights into the topic and into different research fields. Equally important is the acquisition of a broad range of transferable skills that foster self-responsibility and include competences that are needed in science and beyond. Such research training activities are openly provided by a number of research training programs at our university and at our partner institutions:
GLOMAR @ MARUM: Bremen International Graduate School for Marine Sciences
MARMIC @ MPI Bremen: International Max Planck Research School of Marine Microbiology
Academy @ ZMT: ZMT Academy at the Center for Marine Tropical Research
POLMAR @ AWI: Helmholtz Graduate School for Polar and Marine Research
Some of these programs also offer memberships to the doctoral candidates at their respective institutions, which include additional support measures.
