Public evening lecture as part of the international Arctic conference
UNCLOS: Beyond 200 Miles in the Arctic Ocean

As part of the International Arctic Conference taking place at the Department of Geosciences, there will be a public evening lecture on Tuesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. in the large lecture hall of the lecture hall building (“Keksdose”). The lecture is entitled “UNCLOS: Beyond 200 Miles in the Arctic Ocean”. It deals with the - partly geologically defined – claims and rights in the Arctic Ocean, i.e. a topic at the interface between Geosciences and politics, which has become even more topical as a result of recent political developments. The speaker is Prof. Dr. David Cole Mosher from the Geological Survey of Canada, who is also a Commissioner at the UN; the lecture will be held in English. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
