Acceptance as doctoral candidate
Please submit your application for the acceptance as doctoral student at the Faculty of Geosciences (see downloads) within the first year of your doctoral project to the Office of the Doctoral Examination Board. The required attachments are:
- curriculum vitae
- degree diploma and transcript (original or certified copies)
- project description with work schedule (Tips are available in the "Downloads")
- the supervisor’s positive assessment
- supervision agreement between the supervisor and the doctoral candidate
- Please complete the survey for statistics
on doctoral candidates at the University of Bremen. You will automatically receive an e-mail with a copy of your answers. Kindly include this copy with your application for acceptance as a doctoral candidate and submit it to the Office of the Doctoral Examination Board.
To enroll as a doctoral student at the University of Bremen, a separate application procedure is required at the Office for Student Affairs (link).
Basic data
The application for acceptance as a PhD in the faculty should be done latest 1 year after the beginning.
