New from summer semester 2024: application also for beginners
You want to study Marine Geosciences? Whether you want to start or continue your studies in the summer semester, you are at the right place, we are looking forward to you! Below you will find some hints for your application for the summer semester.
Application Deadlines
December 1, 2024 until January 15, 2025. Language certificates by March 15, 2025 at the latest.
Application Process
First-year and advanced students register (only if you are not yet enrolled at the University of Bremen and thus already have login data) and apply for the summer semester only through the MOIN online application portal of the University of Bremen.
Questions about the application process can be answered by the Student Office (see info box).
International Applicants
International applicants who have obtained their higher education entrance qualification outside Europe should upload the report (Vorprüfungsdokumentation, VDP) of uni-assist together with the other certificates in the online application (see above). Detailed information on application by international students is summarized on the university website.
Application for Advanced Students
Advanced students who were already enrolled in a degree program Geosciences for at least one semester or have transferable academic records (at least 10 CP), can apply for admission and enrollment in a higher semester. Recognition of study periods and records will be evaluated by the Bachelor Examination Board (via the Consultancy for Study Affairs). Timely consultation and application is strongly recommended.
Introduction Courses
Starting your studies in the summer semester is more individual and requires more flexibility in the course of studies, as sample study plans are geared towards starting your studies in the winter semester and courses in the summer semester are usually aimed at students in their second semester. We will be offering students beginning in the summer semester a series of workshops to make it easier for them to start their studies. You will find the detailed program below soon.
Geosciences introduction program: here soon! The geosciences introduction program will be coordinated from Dr. Barbara Ventura.
