Understanding slow-spreading ridges: how do they work?

Structural geologist Barbara (Bobbie) John is visiting Bremen to log IODP Leg 304/305 core at the repository. She will report on new insights into processes of lithosphere accretion along slow-spreading mid-ocean ridges that were derived in part from these drill cores. Bobbie is an excellent lecturer and does really exciting science, including cutting-edge age dating of oceanic fault kinematics. You should all come!
