Congratulations, Prof. Lisker!

Frank Lisker graduated in geology from the TU Bergakademie Freiberg in 1991. After a short period as an expert for contaminated site assessment at the Fresenius Institute in Saxony, he moved to Bremen, where he received his PhD in 1995 on the topic of "Geodynamics of the West Antarctic Rift System Based on Apatite Fission Trace Analyses". Between 1996 and 2001, he was a DFG postdoctoral fellow and research associate at both the University of Bremen and Le Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Since 2001, he has been an academic research member at the University of Bremen, and since his successful habilitation in 2007, he has also been a Privatdozent at the Faculty of Geosciences.
In addition to his outstanding research in the field of tectonics and geodynamics of polar mountain regions, his active engagement in teaching, in the training of young scientists and in various committees should be emphasized. With the award of the title "Professor", the faculty recognizes Frank Lisker´s diverse activities and wishes him continued success and enthusiasm.
